Description
The Ansys Download Center organizes each release into packages by product family. If you work with Ansys Mechanical and other structural analysis products, the Structures package contains everything you need in a single download.
The Structures package includes:
- Ansys Workbench
- Ansys Mechanical
- Ansys Mechanical APDL
- Ansys Autodyn
- Ansys LS-DYNA
- Ansys Discovery and SpaceClaim
Selecting the package that matches your products keeps the download smaller and the installation quicker, since you install only what you need. If you also work with products from another family, such as Fluent (Fluids) or HFSS and Maxwell (Electronics), download those packages as well. Each column on the Download Center page is a separate package.
Solution
Step 1 - Sign In to the Ansys Download Center
- Go to the Ansys Download Center at download.ansys.com and sign in with your Ansys account.
Step 2 - Select the Structures Package
- In the left menu, select Current Release.
- Set Select Release to your release, for example 2026 R1.
- Set Select Operating System to match the machine you are installing on, for example Windows x64.
- Set Select Download Type to Primary Packages.
- Scroll down to the Primary Packages (Commercial & Academic Packages) section.
- In the Structures column, click Full Package.

Note: Older releases are available at download.ansys.com/archivedReleases.
Step 3 - Save and Extract the Files Locally
Save the package to a local drive on the machine where Ansys will be installed. Do not download, extract, or run the installer from a network share, a mapped drive, or across a VPN connection, as this is a common cause of extraction and installation failures. See HOW TO - Verify the Integrity of Installation Files for details.
Once the download finishes, extract the package, then right click setup.exe and select Run as administrator.
Note: Installing the software does not license it. If your licensing is not set up yet, follow Ansys Download & Installation Guide (Start Here!) before launching any Electronics Desktop product.
