ERROR

When installing the Ansys License Manager at the end of the installer you receive this error in the detailed installation log.

...WARNING: Attempt
to populate the CVD 'license_files' directory did not find a legacy ANSYS
license file at the following location:

C:\Program
Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\license.dat

Description/Cause

This can be caused by not running the installer as administrator, not extracting the package before running the install, or both.

Solution

1. First, Uninstall the software. 
2. Next, Reinstall the software ensuring your first extract the zip file and that you right click and run the setup file as an Administrator.
