ERROR - "Unable to attach geometry file" (SolidWorks)

In Workbench, when attempting to bring a SolidWorks geometry file into using the Associative Plug-In, you receive the following error:
Unable to attach geometry file c:\users\XXXX.sldasm. Unable to attach geometry.
System.Exception: Unable to attach geometry file c:\users\XXXX.sldasm. Unable to attach geometry.Software & Version
Workbench 2021R1 with SolidWorks 2021

Description/Cause
The error was caused by SolidWorks opening files in “lightweight” mode.
Solution
- Open SolidWorks Systems Options > Performance.
- Uncheck Automatically load components lightweight. This will open all files in “resolved” mode.
- Import the file again in Workbench.
