                          ERROR - User "username@company.com" is not recognized in Shared Web Licensing

                          Error

                          When attempting to access Shared Web Licensing, after signing into their Ansys account the user receives an error that their user is not recognized.

                          Error: User "<email address>" is not recognized and/or is not associated with any account Diagnostic: UserNotRecognizedError; Please verify that user "<email address>" is associated with at least one account in the ID Portal; Operation Id: <reference number>

                          Software & Version

                          Any Shared Web Licensing enabled product starting with 2023 R2.

                          Description/Cause

                          In order to utilize Shared Web Licensing, a user's Ansys account must be associated with the customer number in the Ansys ID Portal.

                          Solution

                          Follow the directions in HOW TO - Manage Users & Groups for Shared Web Licensing - SimuTech to verify the user is associated with your company's customer number and add them if necessary.
