                          INFO - Is Ansys affected by the Log4j vulnerability?

                          Description

                          Log4J, a level 10 security vulnerability, was discovered on December 9, 2021 and IT departments across the world have been scrambling to patch this severe vulnerability.  So the question is, is Ansys software vulnerable? 


                          Solution

                          Ansys is actively investigating this vulnerability for any impact it may have on their software product line and has published a webpage where these results can be found - see instructions below.

                          On 12/14/2021 Ansys reported that the Ansys Licensing Server is not affected by this vulnerability. However, at the time of this publication, the situation is ongoing and we recommend you monitor Ansys's status page for any updates. If you followed our previously posted precautionary measures of disabling the "Ansys Licensing Tomcat service" you can choose to re-enable and use this service.  Please visit the webpage below for updates on this and all other Ansys products.
